Tight-knit and ambitious
The University Honors Program typically accepts around 400 students for each incoming first-year class, keeping the program small and connections strong. A series of signature events and biannual activities provide ongoing opportunities for community and shared growth.
Your Honors Path
This innovative four-year framework, unique among peer programs, supports KU Honors’ co-curricular requirement for students, providing a scaffold that begins with inspiration and carries students through reflection and communication of their experiences.
Common Cause
A yearlong initiative, Common Cause places a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal at the center of fall research activity, a student-led symposium, and service activities that allow participants to apply their learning to community needs.

Marque moments and beloved traditions dot the program’s calendar, each a unique way to further learning, forge friendships, and set new goals.
Honors housing option
Many students elect to live in Templin Hall’s Honors Living Learning Community. Programming includes a start-of-semester dinner and activities that connect residents to program values and one another.
