See Yourself at KU Honors

Fulfill your potential with all the benefits of a small college at a large, tier-one research university.

The University Honors Program is a university-wide program for highly academically motivated students at KU who aspire to explore important questions in today’s society, build healthy and inclusive communities, and do so within an environment that encourages interdisciplinarity and creativity, as well as depth of expertise in an area of study. As a nationally recognized honors program, we create unique academic pathways for each student through personalized advising, study abroad opportunities, undergraduate research, leadership advancement, and more.

Honors Program students represent all professional schools and majors within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The benefits to the Honors Program are many, including faculty mentorship, individualized advising, Honors cocurricular programming, an on-campus Honors-specific housing option, and priority enrollment, to name a few.

The Honors Program aims to cultivate curiosity, deep learning, and interdisciplinarity in our students, encouraging them to find connections across disparate fields of study and create innovative approaches to research, creative projects, and technology. In doing so, Honors hopes to inspire more creativity and innovation as their output, both at KU and once they graduate and move on to their next challenge.

The University Honors Program at the University of Kansas prepares its students for meaningful lives answering critical challenges.
