First-Year Seminar Assistant (FSA) Application for Fall 2018

Applications must be submitted by 4:00 pm on Monday, December 4, 2017. Applicants must be available for an in-person interview at Nunemaker Center on Friday, December 8, 2017. (Interviews will last no more than an hour, and be scheduled to accommodate individual needs as much as possible.) Please e-mail annele@ku.edu if you have questions about this application.

Short Essay

Various people inspire a thirst for knowledge and a desire for success. Briefly describe the person you have most wanted to emulate. How does this person inform your decision about becoming a FSA for this class of Freshmen?

Your response to the question will allow the review committee to familiarize themselves with your interests and strengths as a student. Your essay should not exceed 500 words. (Please type or copy/paste into the box below.)

Short Bio

List your most meaningful activities and awards while at the University of Kansas. Your short bio should not exceed 200 words. (Please type or copy/paste into the box below.)

Reference

Please provide the name and title of one individual whom you have asked to be your reference. References must be KU staff or faculty and be available for a brief phone conversation during the month of December. References should be able to comment on your academic abilities, communication skills, ability to mentor other students and work with an instructor.
