Summary

Kaitlin Flannagan is a senior from Overland Park, Kansas majoring in chemical engineering on the pre-medicine track. She is involved in several organizations at KU including Phi Delta Epsilon Pre-Medical Fraternity, Society of Women’s Engineers, and Sigma Kappa sorority. She previously served as the Executive Vice President of Sigma Kappa and held a leadership position within the area of scholarship and academics. Kaitlin currently participates in undergraduate research in Dr. Cory Berkland’s lab. Additionally, she spends time volunteering in the emergency department at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. This past summer Kaitlin researched at the University of Kansas Medical Center as a Society of Toxicology Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow. In 2017, she participated in a summer study abroad program with the Atlantis Project to shadow physicians in Madrid, Spain.
