After receiving his Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Kansas, John Mark Hansen (C’81) received his M.Phil and Ph.D. from Yale University. 

He is currently the Charles L. Hutchinson Distinguished Service Professor in the department of political science and the College and Senior Advisor to President Zimmer at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Hansen is a Fellow of the American Academy of the Arts and Sciences.
