Honors Community Connect

Honors Community Connect (HCC) is a pilot program connecting incoming first-year students to current Honors students (HCA leadership and Honors Ambassadors) throughout the fall semester via group and/or one-on-one conversation. Our hope is that the HCC program allows incoming students to feel connected to campus, to the Honors Program, and to one another. We want these students to meet people now who will become familiar faces on campus later, and with whom they can discuss common interests.

Note: Fall 2020 is a pilot. We may eventually broaden the program depending on feedback and success this semester.

The details on the program:

If you opt into this program, we will survey you about your interests in order for your small groups and partnerships to find common ground, but the program itself is simple: current students will commit to reaching out to your small group or partner twice over the course of the semester. Those reach outs can be done via Zoom meetings, socially distanced in-person meetings, or email.
