Awards
There are many opportunities for students in the Honors Program to find and secure financial support in order to conduct their research projects.
Other Opportunities for Funding:
- Undergraduate Research Awards (UGRA): The Center for Undergraduate Research is currently accepting applications for research to be conducted during the period between January 1st, 2013 and May 15th, 2013. All applications for research to be conducted during this period must be received by noon on Friday, November 16th, 2012. Follow the links on the overview page for information on the guidelines, upcoming workshops, and for the application.
- Undergraduate Travel Awards: Undergraduate Travel Awards are offered to KU undergraduate students to defray the cost of travel to present results of their research or creative performance at a professional conference in their field. Travel award applications will not be considered for funding between May 20, 2013 to August 15, 2013. Students are encouraged to apply for to the travel fund during this time. We will notify students about funding beginning on Friday, August 16, 2013 for the Fall 2013 semester.
Honors students currently involved in research should consider nominating their mentor for the following award:
- Barbara Schowen Undergraduate Research Mentor Award Nomination Form (the next award will be made in Spring 2013)
