Summary

Ashley Howard (she/her/hers) is a sophomore from Overland Park, Kansas double-majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and Spanish with a minor in leadership studies. She intends to go to graduate school to obtain a Ph.D. and do research after graduating. Ashley is currently studying transposable elements and Drosophila genetics in Dr. Justin Blumenstiel’s lab. She is currently involved in the KU Chemistry Club and serves as the representative for speaker-relations for the KU Scientific Journal Club. In her free time, Ashley enjoys playing with her dog, taking long naps, and exercising at Ambler Recreation Center.
